Scouter Nancy joins us to discuss differences between the Cub Scouts programs in Canada and the United States, and what impacts allowing girls to join will have on her Cub Pack.
This week's epsiode was actually recorded back in October, while Ken was in Ireland on a work trip. It's a conversation with Nancy, a Cub Pack Scouter in the Boy Scouts of America, and the discussion is very much about the differences (and occasional similarities) between the Scouts Canada Cubs program and the BSA's Cubs program.
We also discuss the impact that BSA's recent decision to allow girls to join Cubs will have on Nancy's Pack, and get into some detail about how it is recommended that girls be integrated into extant Scout Troops. Surprise, surprise: it's a little different than how we do it in Canada.
As always, a big thank you to the folks at Scouting Radio for rebroadcasting Scouting Stuff episodes to their worldwide Scouting audience. If you're listening to us on Scouting Radio right now, let us know; reach out and get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.
