From a Listener: Boy Scout Troop 121 of Granite Bay, Calif. (near Sacramento) will be holding a special event on September 29 to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and also to recognize the achievement of their 300th Scout to achieve Eagle Scout rank. Congressman Tom McClintock is expected to speak at the gathering. Troop 121 will also take this opportunity to honor late Scoutmaster John Hooten, who passed away earlier this year. All current Scouts and Alumni are invited to attend the gathering, which will take place at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Granite Bay.
